Kenosha Pride 2020 Postponed due to COVID-19

May 7, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Re: Kenosha Pride 2020 Postponed due to COVID-19

On Sunday, May 3, 2020 the Kenosha Pride, Inc. Board of Directors unanimously decided that holding Kenosha Pride 2020 on Sunday, July 12, 2020 was not in the best interest of our vendors, entertainers, volunteers, attendees, the greater Kenosha community, or Kenosha Pride, Inc. After much deliberation and discussion, it was decided that Kenosha Pride 2020 will be postponed until further notice.

Kenosha Pride, Inc. President Dan Seaver has been in contact with health officials at the County and State level to help guide the decision making process. Mr. Seaver has also been in contact with pride organizers from around the country, discussing the decisions different organizations are making to postpone, cancel, or create alternate experiences to in-person pride festivals and parades. Members of the Board of Directors are closely monitoring updates about the Novel Coronavirus and COVID-19.

The Kenosha Pride, Inc. Board of Directors will continue to work toward producing an amazing event that the people of the Kenosha, Lake, and Racine County areas expect and look forward to. The health and safety of all who make Kenosha Pride a success is the most important priority for us. We hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy so that we can all come together to celebrate PRIDE in the future.
